How this UCAT score calculator works
The current UCAT cognitive score is the sum of three scaled section scores: Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making and Quantitative Reasoning. Each section is reported from 300 to 900, so the total ranges from 900 to 2700. Situational Judgement is reported separately as Band 1 to Band 4 and is not added to the cognitive total.
Use the scaled scores reported by your practice platform or official score report. The calculator then adds the three cognitive sections and compares the total with the official 2025 decile thresholds, which are the latest full-year benchmark available on 8 August 2026.
Why raw marks cannot be converted exactly here
The UCAT Consortium explains that raw cognitive marks are converted to scaled scores because the subtests contain different numbers and types of marks. It does not publish a single public formula that lets an independent website turn every raw mock mark into an exact official scaled score.
Different third-party mocks can also use different difficulty calibration. For that reason, MedMantis does not present a made-up raw-to-scaled number as an official prediction. If a mock platform supplies its own scaled score, use that score here and track the raw mark separately for within-platform progress.
Official 2025 UCAT decile benchmarks
These are the final 2025 total-score decile thresholds published by the UCAT Consortium. They are historical benchmarks, not 2026 cutoffs and not university admissions thresholds.

When 2026 score statistics become available
The UCAT Consortium states that preliminary 2026 mean scores and deciles will be published in mid-September, with final mean scores, deciles and percentiles published after testing ends. This page should be updated when those official statistics are released rather than silently treating 2025 figures as current-year data.
How to use the result without over-reading it
- Use the total and decile benchmark as context, not a prediction of your final test result.
- Track repeated mock evidence rather than reacting to one unusually high or low score.
- Compare raw marks mainly within the same practice source when difficulty and scaling differ between providers.
- Check each university's current admissions policy separately; there is no single UCAT score that guarantees selection.
