What a UCAT study plan should contain
A workable plan names the purpose of each session, its duration, the section or skill being trained, whether the work is timed, and when answers will be reviewed.
What shapes your sample week
The planner uses your exam date to estimate the preparation window, your target and current section results to identify relative gaps, and your available days, daily minutes and intensity to keep the result within the capacity you entered. SJT is handled as a banded section rather than added to the three cognitive scaled scores.
What the illustrative week shows
The generated week names a priority section, distributes section work across the days you selected and gives a more detailed first session. It is a local, non-persistent preview; the subscribed planner can use saved history, mocks and completed work to adapt later priorities.
How the exam date changes the plan
With more time, the plan can spend longer learning formats and building accuracy. Nearer the test, it should reduce novelty, use more representative timing and preserve enough recovery for practice results to remain useful.
How minutes and study days affect workload
Daily minutes cap session length; available days determine how often work can repeat. A plan should not silently turn 30 available minutes into a 60-minute task or treat every free day as equally demanding.
How current performance affects priority
Larger cognitive-section gaps receive more attention, while SJT is handled separately as a banded section. One weak score is treated as a prompt to investigate, not proof that every future session should target the same section.
Accuracy, timing, review and mocks serve different purposes
Accuracy work stabilises a method without forcing rushed decisions. Short timed sets test whether that method survives pressure. Review explains wrong and uncertain answers and creates the next practice action. Section mocks and full official practice tests measure broader performance only when enough time remains to review and act on the result.
How mock review changes the next week
Review should identify whether errors came from comprehension, method, calculation, judgement or pacing. The next week should target the recurring cause rather than simply scheduling another full mock.
Limits of a generated plan
A generated plan cannot verify question quality, health, sleep, school workload or whether a score was representative. Adjust the schedule when those conditions change and use official UCAT guidance for current exam rules.
