Planning guides

Start with the study-plan tool when you need a concrete week. Use the revision timeline to choose the right balance of familiarisation, accuracy work, timed sets, mocks, review and recovery for the time remaining.

  • Build a sample UCAT study week from your available time and current scores.
  • Compare 12-, 8-, 6-, 4- and 2-week preparation structures.
  • Plan short final-stage schedules without panic cramming.
  • Choose a sustainable workload that includes review time.

Section strategy guides

The current UCAT has three scored cognitive subtests—Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making and Quantitative Reasoning—plus Situational Judgement. Start with the comparison hub, then open the detailed guide for the section you need.

Calculator and test-tool practice

The UCAT interface itself is a skill. Practise the onscreen calculator, keyboard navigation, Num Lock and calculator focus behaviour before these actions need to be automatic under time pressure.

Use official resources first

The UCAT Consortium’s materials are free and representative of the live test. Work through the tour and question tutorials before question-bank practice, then use official practice tests nearer the test date.
